Are you using IE?

If so, and FF works fine, then you've uncovered a regression bug in 8.5.

SPR# MKIN7C7UMX - Prior to this fix, the referrer field was not present when viewed with Internet Explorer. This regression was introduced in 8.0.




This was also a regression in 7.0.3 (I'm the one that opened the original ticket), it's possible it's in 8.5 also? Probably fixed in 8.5.1 if not 8.5 FP1.
